Patient orientation and trust through 3D scans

Allow patients and visitors to virtually tour your clinic or practice. This reduces fears, makes orientation easier, and showcases your high-quality equipment.

Services for Patient orientation and trust through 3D scans – matched to your use case.

Added value for clinics and practices

Reduce anxiety before your stay

Patients familiarize themselves with the rooms in advance - particularly valuable in the pediatric or maternity area.

Optimized patient guidance

Virtual orientation aid makes it easier to find your way around large clinic complexes.

Representative recruitment

Present your modern work environment and high-end equipment to future professionals.

Typical Use Cases

  1. Case 1

Virtual delivery room and ward tour

Pregnant women or patients can view the rooms and lounge areas from the comfort of their own home.

  2. Case 2

    Referrer marketing for specialist clinics

Present your most modern surgical technology and special laboratories to referring doctors in a photorealistic scan.

  3. Case 3

    Digital inventory documentation for renovations

Precise 3D scans as a reliable CAD planning basis for clinic renovations during ongoing operations.

Visual orientation in healthcare

Hospitals and large specialty practices can seem intimidating to patients. A virtual tour creates transparency and accessibility. We create detailed 3D models of your wards, reception areas, and patient rooms. These can be integrated into your website in a barrier-free way so that patients with mobility difficulties can find out about ramps and elevators in advance.

Turnkey Integration

We support you from concept creation to on-site data capture and the final API interface to your management systems.

3D visualization in healthcare: patient guidance, facility management & recruiting

Hospitals, specialty clinics, and large medical centers are highly complex ecosystems. From the patient's perspective, they are often confusing, intimidating, and associated with fear. From a facility management (FM) perspective, they place the highest demands on safety, hygiene, and technical building equipment (TGA). And from a human resources perspective, competition for medical professionals is fierce. FotoEstate uses state-of-the-art 3D visualization technologies – from high-resolution 360-degree tours (Digital Twins) to precise 3D laser scanning (LiDAR) – to precisely address these three pain points in the healthcare sector. We digitize clinic campuses to improve the patient experience, secure architectural renovations, and visually position clinics as state-of-the-art employers (employer branding).

1. Anxiety reduction & transparency: The digital delivery room and operating room

Hospitalization, whether for a delivery, a complex operation, or rehabilitation, is psychologically stressful for patients. The uncertainty of what to expect creates stress. An immersive 3D tour breaks this barrier. Pregnant women can virtually view the delivery room and the postpartum ward from their couch at home weeks in advance. Specialty clinics can present their high-end operating rooms (e.g., Da Vinci robots) in the digital twin to referring doctors and private patients. Info hotspots (Mattertags) explain medical devices, hygiene concepts, and treatment processes directly in the spatial context. This visual transparency reduces enormous fears and greatly strengthens trust in the clinic.

2. Accessible AR indoor navigation for large clinics

The disorientation in large hospital areas not only costs patients and visitors nerves, but also consumes massive amounts of human resources to provide information. Classic guidance systems on the walls are inflexible and immediately outdated when renovations are made. We implement Augmented Reality (AR) indoor navigation. The patient scans a QR code at the main entrance. The smartphone camera opens and displays a virtual blue guideline on the hospital floor that leads to the desired ward with centimeter precision. The system thinks inclusively: For wheelchair users or patients with walkers (walking aids), the routing profile automatically offers barrier-free alternative routes via ramps and elevators.

3. Employer branding: recruiting skilled workers in the healthcare sector

The shortage of skilled nursing staff and specialists is the biggest obstacle to growth for clinics. A sterile PDF job offer no longer attracts top candidates. Instead, show how modern your work environment is! Through a virtual 3D tour, applicants can virtually explore the break rooms, the state-of-the-art intensive care unit, or the clinic's own laboratory before they even submit their application. We include employee interviews (videos) as interactive hotspots directly in the tour. This innovative recruiting approach signals the highest level of digitalization expertise and drastically sets you apart from competing employers.

4. 3D laser scanning (LiDAR) for trouble-free conversion planning

Hospital conversions or extensions to the technical building equipment (e.g., new ventilation systems for isolation wards) usually have to take place while the hospital is in operation. Old, incorrect as-built plans inevitably lead to loud and dirty chiseling work on the construction site, which seriously disrupts everyday hospital life (and the healing process). Our engineers record ceiling cavities, heating centers, and supply shafts using 3D laser scanners with absolutely no noise or contact. We generate error-free CAD/BIM models from the millimeter-precise point cloud. This allows TGA planners to check the new pipe routes in advance for collisions (clash detection) in order to virtually eliminate dirt, noise, and downtime on the ward.

5. Audit-proof documentation for facility management

The operation of critical infrastructure (KRITIS), such as hospitals, requires proof of strict maintenance and testing cycles (e.g., fire dampers, medical gases). A digital twin of hospital technology serves as a visual CAFM system. We connect live sensor data (IoT) to the virtual objects in the 3D scan via API interfaces. If the building management system reports a malfunction in the MRT cooling system, the external technician is navigated directly to the defective valve in the virtual space via deep link. Maintenance protocols are stored on the digital object in an audit-proof manner, meaning compliance with statutory inspection deadlines (BetrSichV) can be visually verified at any time.
